About

London-based film and media composer, Marek David writes music and sound for Film, Animation, Games, Television, and Installations. Most recently, he has worked with clients such as The National Gallery, Barbican Centre, The Courtauld Gallery, and Derry Halloween. His style can be best described as a fresh take on incorporating modernistic techniques with a blend of old-school inspiration.

Marek began composing at the age of nine where he started with taking piano lessons. He joined the bands Salsappeal and Elatino in 2018, where he played piano and made arrangements of latin, jazz, and salsa music. At the moment, he is studying at the Guildhall School of Music and working on various projects within the institution.

Currently, he is working on multiple short films with collaborators from MET & MICA, working on a game collaboration with LCC, and recording with the LSO on a rescoring of Archie with Rachel Portman as the guiding hand. Most recently, his concert work consisted of a string quartet piece for the National Gallery, a Harp, Flute, and Viola trio for The Courtauld Gallery, and an Orchestral Piece based on the Lake District commissioned by Caroline Stockmann.
